Art has always been my way of expressing emotions that words often can’t capture. As a self-taught digital artist and designer, my personal work blends Pop Surrealism, Lowbrow, and Punk influences, while my professional work focuses on corporate design. Through my personal art, I explore individuality, the human condition, and the stories that make us unique.
For over years, I’ve only used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop professionally, when I discovered generative art in 2022 it rekindled my love for personal creativity and inspired me to use them for personal creative again. Using Midjourney alongside Adobe tools has transformed my creative process, allowing me to seamlessly merge my love for technology with my passion for clear communication. The efficiency and precision these tools offer allow me to create with a sense of flow and spontaneity.
Nostalgia plays a large role in my art, especially the big-eyed imagery that connects to my childhood. Raised in a religious household, I developed a critical view of organized religion but remain fascinated by the visual opulence of Catholic iconography, which influences many of my pieces. The emotions I feel deeply, as someone with ADHD, drive my work, pushing me to create empathetic and meaningful narratives.
Ultimately, I aim for my art to make people feel seen and respected. I believe in the beauty of individuality and the importance of representation, particularly for African American and LGBTQIA+ communities. As technology evolves, I hope to champion its use in art and continue creating work that connects on a deeply human level.
